Angor to Zillmanton first edition is the product of 9 ½ years’ research and 6 months of bush travel. It tells the stories of 520 deserted towns and mining camps in north Queensland. Maps, photos, information co-ordinates,and anecdotal stories exist for every town and the book is set out in districts.
The book contains great detail including diagrammatic explanation of gold extraction techniques. It has been described as an encyclopaedic book of deserted towns.
At present the book is in its 6th edition ( 2007).
Throughout the revisions a further 10 years’ research has been added.

Written prior to the closure of the Kidston mine and commissioned by Kidston Gold Mine Ltd., Kidston mine is located on the old town of Kidston, in the Etheridge district. Kidston and Mt Leyshon mines were the biggest gold producers in Queensland, Kidston produced 613 tons of gold ( over 3 million ounces). The book details gold production throughout its life, its workers, geology and the deserted town of Kidston, its history, photos, stories.

Written prior to the closure of Mt Leyshon Gold Mine in 2002. Located south of Charters Towers, with a similar layout to Kidston Gold Mine. Kidston and Mt Leyshon were the biggest gold producers in Queensland- Mt Leyshon produced 554 tons of gold i.e. over 3 million ounces. Located on the old township of Mt Leyshon, stories of people, its history, maps, photos.

Located in PNG, the book was commissioned by Placer Pacific as a mine closure book. Producing 3319 tons of silver and 664 tons of gold,the book not only looks at the mine but also at the interconnections of the Misiman people and the mining company. A wealth of history, photos and recollections.
